School Talks – “Cross Adults only”

School talks – The younger leaders off our Country and World… WITNC - Want to CROSS THE LINE Adults only…………………….
The word HABIT is derived from the word HABITAT. This suggests that the way you do things currently, even your culture and perhaps religious beliefs are a result of the habitat or environment in which you grew up.

These HABITS can be both positive and negative. Although they may all appear good to those who share your HABITAT, the truth is that some are good while others are bad for you. This is particularly true when it comes to changing HABITATS. New HABITS are required to enable you to move to a new HABITAT.

Your current HABITAT reflects your POSITION. Your new HABITAT may represent your DESTINATION. In order to move from your POSITION to your DESTINATION, a change in HABIT is necessary.
Without a change in habit, you will inevitably return to your current habitat irrespective of how desperate you are to move to a new one.

Wisdom requires that you identify your DESTINATION and then determine what new HABITS you need to develop by observing people already at your chosen destiny in order to move towards it.
Remember, a small change consistently over a period of time produces great results.

WITNC - Want to CROSS THE LINE Adults only…………………….

Christ died on the cross to save us, taking our punishment by dying on the cross. Paul writes in Colossians 1:20 that Christ made peace "through his blood, shed on the cross."

C-hrist died on the cross for our sins
R-epent we need to repent our sins
O-bsticals will always be on our way
S-tumble and fall
S-tand up and be strong in Christ

Here is the thing though, we only tried it. We did not believe it. We did not commit to it. We even thought that it was silly. After all, we are adults; this is the stuff teenagers do (without prompting I might add), I mean, what will other people think if they catch me with a ‘silly dream board’?

That is it right there. Your concern for what others may think could be the secret to your under achievement and perhaps lack of success and significance. Maybe you have even criticized someone who is doing these basic but essential activities.

The things you and I need to do to move from survival to stability, from stability to success and, from success onto significance ARE EASY TO DO, but quite clearly also EASY NOT TO DO. The proof of this is everywhere.

Isn’t it time you crossed the line? ADULTS ONLY

A ctivity to Accomplishment
D isappointment to Determination
U nworthiness to Unlimited
L osing to Learning
T hermometer to Thermostat
S uccess to Significance

O bstacles to Opportunities
N aughty to Nice
L agging to Leading,
Y to Y Not

Four key elements to being significant:

1 Know your purpose
• Feed your seed with good food

2. Have a clear plan for your life
• Establish your position
• Determine your destination
• Prepare your plan

3. Manage your time effectively

4. Enjoy life journey

• I truly believe in adage that life is a journey and we must enjoy the ride. With the right to enjoy, the ride comes the responsibility to develop a plan that will take you on your journey off destiny. You cannot have one without the other. You may be able to fake it while you can, but true significance can only be achieved through the fulfilment of a carefully crafted Godly plan in line with your God given purpose and backed by massive action and the determination to succeed.
